We received a very special Christmas card from the First Presidency. This painting was new to us, we love it!
Flowers and flower vendors abound everywhere. Elder D couldn't resist this unusual and beautiful arrangement, it stood 3 feet tall. We enjoyed it all through the Christmas holiday.
President Amado gave the key note address opening the week long Christmas festivities on Temple Square.
Sister D played for this delightful children's choir from wards throughout the Santiago area.
Nativity scenes were placed all around the Temple grounds. Elder D took advantage of this still, real life nativity scene. Literally hundreds of nativity scenes were loaned from people all over Santiago and were beautifully displayed in rooms on the second floor of the meeting house. They represented traditional Christmas nativities from all over the world.
These are some of the special Hermanas who were trained to take tours of the temple grounds during the holidays. Four of this group were from our mission. Their homelands were USA, Dominican Republic, Colombia and El Salvador.

Elder D and I wanted to bring a Christmas treat for everyone. We worked together to make enough "dulces" for everyone. They made a pretty favor, too!
